MFE Honors Outstanding Teachers

The annual Outstanding Teacher of the Year ceremony was recently held at the Charles C. Winchester Auditorium at Milton High School.

This event, sponsored by the Milton Foundation for Education, honors one teacher from each of the six Milton Public Schools and one additional teacher for the district-wide honor of the Mary Grassa O’Neill Leadership Award. Parents, guardians, students and colleagues attended the celebration.

This year’s recipients were:

Milton High School: Dan Jarboe, Math
Pierce Middle School: John O’Leary & Colleen Queally , Physical Educationi/Health
Tucker Elementary School: Mary Duggan, English Language Learners
Collicot Elementary School: Zeina Hamada, Grade 2 French Immersion
Cunningham Elementary School: Helene Olken, Grade 2 French Immersion
Glover Elementary School:  Sara Willis, Grade 5 Co-Taught Classroom
The Mary Grassa O’Neill Leadership Award: Tom Shaw, Milton High School, Science.
