The Milton Players will present Agatha Christie’s mystery thriller The Unexpected Guest April 12-21 at the Milton Woman’s Club. The show is the final production the Players will perform at the Club, which has been its home for 80 years but is now expected to be sold and torn down in the near future.
The Unexpected Guest tells the story of a murder investigation that takes numerous twists and turns after a stranger encounters Laura Warwick with a gun in her hand immediately after the murder of her cruel husband. The list of suspects grows to include a distant victim of the dead man, as well as the deceased’s scheming valet, his simple brother, his nurse, his wife’s lover and his own mother, leaving the audience guessing until the very end. While “Unexpected Guest” is the Milton Players’ last show at the Woman’s Club, the Players will continue to perform and are currently investigating several potential arrangements for performance space in the Milton area.
Performances: April 12, 13, 19 & 20 at 8PM, $20 for cabaret seating including wine and cheese; April 21 at 2PM, $15 for general admission. Performed at 90 Reedsdale Rd. (Rt. 28), Milton. Visit www.miltonplayers.org or call 617-698-7469 for tickets or more information.
