Milton Library Accepting Applications for Teen Summer Volunteers

The Milton Public Library is now accepting applications for a summer volunteer opportunity for middle and high school students called the Teen Volunteer Corps. The Teen Volunteer Corps is a summer-long program for students entering grades 8 and up.

Members of the Teen Volunteer Corps will assist with children’s and teen programs, help organize the shelves in the Children’s Room and the Teen Space, and work on aspects of the teen summer reading program. The program offers Milton teenagers to a chance earn community services hours toward their graduation requirements, to give back to the community, and to make a contribution to the library during the busy summer months. Applications for the Teen Volunteer Corps are available at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the Library. They are due no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, May 3. For more information about the Teen Volunteer Corps, please contact Emily Calkins, Young Adult Librarian, at 617-598-5757 or ecalkins@ocln.org. The Library is located at 476 Canton Ave., Milton, MA.
