Milton fielded a team, The Milton Monsters, at the last week end’s regional Destination Imagination Challenge. The Monsters won third place and are on their way to the state tournament next week.
Destination Imagination “promotes these skills through its global problem solving program and tournaments for students of all ages, as well as the customized creativity and innovation programs it develops for other organizations and corporations of all kinds.” You can learn more about this innovative program here.
The Milton Monsters are Wallace Heller (Cunningham School), David Cichello, Kyle Hipp, Alex Malmstrom and Ryan Mazzotta (all Glover School) were among 90 teams, 534 students in all, from 3rd to 12th grade presenting solutions to 7 different challenges.
It was a great day for all and was capped off (no pun intended) with Carolyn Newman winning the Appraisers’ Crazy Hat Contest.Congratulations to all and good luck next week!
