A former hockey player for Boston University, Mr. Roy is a quadriplegic and author of the book, Eleven Seconds. He spoke to the students about setting goals, perseverance, compassion and personal character.

He spoke about spending the past 17 years in a wheelchair, and how his life has changed, but also how he is still finding ways to challenge himself, mentally and physically. Mr. Roy spent time answering questions from the students and encouraged them all to set goals in their lives.

Students listened to Mr. Roy speak, then had an opportunity to ask questions, which included “Can you cry?” “Do you sleep in your wheelchair?” “Do you still like hockey?” and “How have your goals changed since your accident?”
