Drew Echelson is leaving Glover Elementary School. Mr. Echelson was hired as an interim principal at Glover while Stephanie Nephew, the principal, was out on maternity leave. Ms. Nephew recently returned to Glover and the two have been co-principals. He is leaving to take a position with another school district, rumored to be an administrative position with the Boston Public Schools. In a letter to parents and staff Superintendent Gormley announced that Holly Concannon, Coordinator of K-5 Math and Technology, will be now sharing principalship responsibilities with Ms. Nephew.

The transition will take place immediately. In her letter, Ms. Gormley said that Nephew and Concannon “forward to serving as Glover Elementary School’s co-principals for the remainder of the school year. In Ms. Concannon, we have a strong educational leader who works closely with our entire K-5 staff and students due to her role as Elementary Math & Technology Coordinator.”

Replacing Ms. Concannon as Elementary Math & Technology Coordinator will be Meredith Kemp for Tucker and Collicot Schools. Ms. Concannon will continue as coordinator for the Glover and Cunningham schools. Ms. Gormley thanked Mr. Echelson for is service and wished him luck in his new position.
