Notice from Town Hall
Milton’s history of volunteerism has always been impressive. Over the years, Milton residents have donated their personal time to all kinds of worthwhile projects helping to make our town an appealing place in which to live and raise a family.
Nowhere is volunteerism more important to our town than in government. It continues to be the support our elected officials and our town employees depend on to make the business of running the town a success.
Currently town government offers a number of volunteer opportunities to residents who would like to be more involved in the process. The Selectmen appoint volunteers to the following boards/committees: Alternate Energy Committee, Broadband Monitoring Committee, Bicycle Advisory Committee, Capital Improvement Planning Committee, Celebration of Holidays Committee, Commission on Disability, Community Preservation Act Study Committee, Conservation Commission, Council on Aging, Cultural Council, Education Fund Committee, Fair Housing Committee, Historical Commission, MASSPORT Liaison and Alternate, Milton Village/Central Avenue Revitalization Committee, Registrar of Voters, Sign Advisory Committee, Telecommunication Design Review Committee, Tree Warden and Wind Energy Committee.
More information on the “charge” of each committee, which committees have vacancies and how to submit an application is available by calling the Selectmen’s Office.
