Representative Walter Timilty (D–Milton) recently attended a briefing at the State House. The sole purpose of this briefing was to counter gun violence. The bi-partisan forum, which was attended by dozens of legislators and staff, was an attempt to lay out potential points of discussion for the implementation of new gun violence prevention measures for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
There were a plethora of divergent opinions offered by the various legislators in attendance. However, there was one overriding opinion that was shared by all: This must stop!
“Although Massachusetts ranks at the top of many lists relative to gun violence prevention, it is imperative that we, the legislature, continue to do everything in our capacity to ensure that these horrific acts do not happen within the Commonwealth,” said Timilty.
