Dust off your best literary-themed costume and wear it to the Milton Public Library on Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. for a “Come in Character” party for local teens and tweens. This celebration of our favorite stories and the characters we love will feature a book-themed trivia game, a costume contest with prizes, and craft and activities inspired by favorite books, including The Hunger Games, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and more! The event is planned and hosted by the library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG). The TAG is a group of junior high and high school students who meet monthly to plan events, help select materials for the library, and contribute to the library’s teen blog. Costumes from all fandoms (book, anime, comics, movies and more!) are encouraged but not required.
This event is for students in grades 6-12 only. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Milton Public Library. The library is located at 476 Canton Ave., Milton, MA. Please contact Emily Calkins, Young Adult Librarian, at (617) 698-5757 or ecalkins[at]ocln[dot]org with questions or comments.
