An elderly gentlemen was struck by a vehicle on Randolph Avenue near Heather Drive. Officers on the scene report discovering the vicitm lyin gon the southbound dies of Randolph Ave with serious injuries and in traumatic arrest. He was transferred to BI Deaconess – Milton where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Witnesses said the victim was struck as he attempted to cross from the northbound side of the road which is a state highway. There are no crosswalks or stop signs or lights at the location. State Police have called in resources to reconstruct the scene., though speed does not seem to be a causal factor. The police are withholding the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
