Milton Reads sponsors an elegant Southern High Tea with “To Kill a Mockingbird” theme

The Forbes House Museum, in collaboration with the Milton Public Library, the Milton Players, the Amateur Gardeners of Milton, and the Milton Garden Club is hosting a Southern High Tea on Saturday afternoon, October 6, 2012 as part of the town-wide reading of the Pulitzer prize winning book “To Kill a Mockingbird”.

In addition to enjoying a scrumptious traditional Southern high tea with savories and sweets, including southern sweet tea, guests will be entertained by readings from “To Kill a Mockingbird” led by the Milton Players. Colorful floral arrangements are being provided by the Amateur Gardeners of Milton and the Milton Garden Club for the galleries, porches and tables . Guests will also be provided a complimentary pass for a future tour of the Forbes House Museum. Seating is at 2 p.m. and the cost is $35 per person.
