In a recent email blast to parents and staff Superintendent Gormley announcd two important staff appointments. She has appointed Mr. Jonathan Redden as the new Principal of the Cunningham Elementary School. Ms. Gormley writes:

Mr. Redden is an outstanding candidate who recently completed his Master’s Degree in School Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts – Boston and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Providence College. Mr. Redden served as the Principal Intern at the William Henderson School/Harbor Pilot School in Boston for the past year and was a General/Special Education Teacher at the Richard J. There has been a bit of a domino efffect here in a positive sense. Mr. Redden replaces Karen Spaulding who is the the new Pierce Middle School principal. Ms. Spaulding replaces Mr. Jette who has moved to the high school as principal. Jette replaces Joe Arangio who is retiring

She also announced the appointment of Milton High School’s new Math, Business & Technology Department Head. Gormley states, “From among a very talented pool of candidates, we have chosen Ms. Courtney Walsh who comes to us from the Braintree Public Schools where she served as an administrative intern and a high school math teacher. Ms. Walsh was also a math instructor at Eastern Nazarene College and a SAT Math Instructor for Braintree Continuing Education.”

A search is still underway for a new Elementary Curriculum Coordinator.
