Representative Timilty Retains $250,000 in Transportation Bond Bill for Milton Pedestrian Safety

Representative Walter F. Timilty (D–7th Norfolk District) is pleased to announce the adoption of two amendments that he filed to the House of Representatives Transportation Bond Bill.

Through his intensive efforts, Representative Timilty was able to obtain $230,000 in funding the improvement and reconstruction of the sidewalks on Granite Avenue from Squantum Street up to the Interstate 93 on ramp. Additionally, Representative Timilty was able to procure $20,000 for the installation of crosswalks for the portion of Reedsdale Road extending from the intersections of Route 28 and Canton Avenue to the intersection of Route 28 and Randolph Avenue.

Commenting on the success of the two amendments Timilty stated “The inclusion of these amendments shows the Commonwealth’s dedication to providing its citizens with the highest level of public safety.”
