Neville Art Classes for Teens and Pre-Teens

Registration is now open for July art classes with Beth Neville.

Painting flowers in the gardens, creating a cartoon character, drawing ducks at Turner’s Pond, forming a likeness of an Asian god or warrior, and painting in oils are some of the many art activities that 11 to 18-year olds will experience in Beth Neville’s art classes. The only student requirement is an interest in art.

Students may register now for morning art classes in July. Classes meet from 9 a.m. till noon, five days a week for four weeks. The dates are July 9-13, July 16-20, July 3-27, and July 30,31-August 1,2, 3. Students may register for one or all four weeks. Classes are held in Milton. The fee is $160. per week, supplies included. The gardens, statuary, fountains and trees surrounding the instructor’s studio are used as sources of inspiration. An art book library of about 400 volumes is available for reference. Neville is especially interested art history and some of the painting instruction is based on artwork from around the world including Japan, Korea, Australia, Africa, Russia, Greece, Mexico and South America. She is currently serving on the Milton 350th Anniversary Committee and the Milton Cultural Council.

Returning this year to assist with the art classes is watercolor painter and local resident Donna Samuelian. Class size is limited to ten students, therefore early registration is advised.
