Dear friends and neighbors,

Thanks so much to all of you for your support of my candidacy for Planning Board.

As I give thought to ways in which to advocate for proactive planning, I ask that those of you who are Town Meeting members support Article 36, an update to the town’s master plan, which has not been updated since the 1970’s.  Should it pass, I encourage widespread participation in the process.

I also ask that you support Article 35, adopting the Community  Preservation Act.  A master plan is required under this act, and it can be dove-tailed with updates under Article 36.  An important
component of this is the development of a plan to address the shortage of affordable housing in Milton.  Having a plan in place and making gradual progress in meeting the goals of the plan greatly reduces the risk of hostile 40B developments.
