Yesterday was hot. So hot that 5000 of the runners who entered the Boston Marathon chose not to run and took up the BAA on their offer to run next year instead. Valerie Kelly, a Tucker 3rd Grade teacher was not one on them. She was running for a small child with severe cardiac problems. Fueling her was the support of her students and the Tucker community at large. Together they raised ~$5000 to support Ms Kelly’s Mile for Miracles run in the marathon. It was a big day.
It was a big day for Ms. Kelly who finished with a time of 5:25:28. And it was a big day for her students. who vicariously participated in an average person doing something physicallly remarkable.
Congratualtions Ms. Kelly!
