#1, #3, #4, #9 of Boston’s most powerful have 1 thing in common – MILTON

Boston Magazine recently published a story listing the 50 most powerful people in Boston. “Best of” lists are always kind of goofy and kind of fun – and always generate attention. “Best Colleges” is perhaps best example – etc, etc. What caught our eye about this one is that 4 of the top 10 live in Milton. They are. . .

#1 – John Fish, CEO of Suffolk Construction, who according to article is “simply guy who can get things done.”

#3 – Carmen Ortiz, US. Attorney for MA, who has overseen convictions for DiMasi, Wilkerson, and Turner. “Next up: Whitey Bulger. We don’t like his odds.”

#4  – Deval Patrick, Governor of MA, who Boston Magazine tags as being on the short list for a presidential appointment should Obama win re-election.

#9 – Abigail Johnson, Fidelity Investment, who was co-named to this spot along with her father Ned. Mr. Johnson remains CEO but Boston Magazine believes recent developments “point to Abby eventually being named head of Fidelity.”
