MWRA sees rates rising about 3.9% – Milton could be 8.5%

The Boston Herald  reports that the MWRA has come up with estimates of rate increases for customers who use 61,000 gallons of water per year, the system average. The article states:

“According to authority data, preliminary combined assessments next fiscal year could rise 8.5 percent in Milton, 7.9 percent in Arlington, and 6 percent in Chelsea. By contrast, combined assessment may increase only 1.9 percent in Waltham, 2.1 percent in Winthrop and 2.8 percent in Lexington.” You cand find the full story here.
