WHAT: The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is urging motorists to avoid Morrissey Boulevard between Freeport Street and Mt. Vernon Street (UMass/Boston) around the high tides this weekend through Monday, December 26. DCR will be setting up detours as the high tides often create flooding along the roadway.
WHEN: Saturday, 12/23 through Monday, 12/26
Saturday, 12/24: High tide at 10:11am – 11’7” predicted height. Crew will be standing by from 9:00a.m. until noon.
Sunday, 12/25. High tide at 11:03am – 11’7” predicted height. Crew will be standing by from 9:30am.
Monday, 12/26: High tide at 11:54am – 11’5” predicted height. Crew will be standing by from 10:30am.
Tides continue to decline from Tuesday thru the rest of the week.
