Milton attorney appointed to lead state’s Public Charities Division

Yesterday Attorney General Martha Coakley appointed Milton resident Mary Beckman to head up her office’s Non-profit Organizations/ Public Charities division.

Beckman has extensive experience in health care law and  has held senior positions within state government and also most recently at Children’s Hospital. She is a graduate of Yale University and Dartmouth College.

“Mary Beckman brings a stellar record of accomplishment and almost 20 years of legal experience at non-profits, government agencies and private law firms,” said AG Coakley.  “Her expertise will be critical to continuing the important work of this Division and ensuring that the public interest is protected through proper oversight and transparency.”
