The Milton school community has suffered a loss with the recent passing of guidance counselor Emily Ayre. There will be a service for Ms. Ayre on Wednesday August 17, at the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ 36 Main Street, New Milford, CT  06776. Donations in honor of Ayre can be sent to Camp Woodstock, 42 Camp Road, Woodstock Valley, CT 06282.

There will be counseling available on Monday, August 15, Pierce Middle School. Maria Trozzi, M.Ed., the director of Good Grief Program at Boston Medical Center, at 7 p.m. will conduct the session. NOTE: The meeting is for parents and guardians only, and will provide tips and strategies for communicating with children about the tragedy.
