Town Clerk James Mullen recently notified the Milton Library Board of Trustees that Ingrid Shaffer had chosen to resign as a member of that board.
The trustees will review appointing someone to the vacancy. Any recommended appointment would be voted on jointly by the Trustees and the Board of Selectmen.
Ms. Shaffer herself was appointed to the board by the Trustees when they last had a vacancy that fell outside of the electoral calendar.
Boston.com – Your Town Milton reports, “Due to unforeseen work/family conflicts, I am unable to continue my role as an active member of the Library Board, so am offering my resignation,” Shaffer wrote in a letter to McLaughlin. You can find the Your Town Milton article here.
