Yesterday Milton observed its standard Memorial Day tradition: a gathering at Town Hall, a short parade down to the cemetery, some remarks including a reading of The Gettysburg Address, and the MHS band and chorus performing a few numbers. It is a community moment to remember the liberties we have and the people who “gave the last full measure of devotion” to ensure them.
