Dr. Arangio previously served as Principal of Milton High School from 1997 to 2002. His career highlights include high school principalships in West Hartford, Connecticut; McLean, Virginia and at Boston Technical High School. In addition, Dr. Arangio has served on the Massachusetts Board of Education, the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
“As always, my priority is the education of each student in the Milton Public Schools,” said Mary Gormley, Superintendent of Milton Public Schools. “I am completely confident that the appointment of Dr. Arangio will assure the continuation of the outstanding educational experience offered to each Milton High School student.”
Ms. Gormley said that Dr. Arangio will work closely with retiring principal Dr. John Drottar during the transition phase and will assume leadership of Milton High School when school opens in August.
“I am certain that Dr. Arangio will be an effective leader for all of our students, teachers, staff, parents and guardians,” she said. “He is an outstanding educator and will provide stability to Milton High as we move forward with our search for a permanent principal.”
