Town Plans 350th Celebration – Seeks Help

Milton’s 350th Anniversary Committee is planning a year-long celebration in 2012.

Much help will be needed organizing events, along with donations, sponsorships and ideas. The committee began meeting on a twice a month schedule in March.

Possible celebratory events include sports contests, a field day, fireworks, concerts, an ecumenical religious service, hoop rolling, agricultural events, historic displays, an arts festival, a militia reenactment, and a parade.

The anniversary parade is being planned on the weekend of June 9, 2012. Those who are interested in volunteering may e-mail the committee atmilton350th@gmail.com.

The committee will meet at 7 p.m. May 16 and June 6 at Town Hall, 525 Canton Ave
