The Milton Public Schools announces Spotlight Summer Theater Camp at Pierce Middle School. Spotlight explores the exciting world of theater arts through a variety of activities, projects and performances. In each session, children are guided through the play production process, from the first reading of the script to the final bows.
Early in the week, students are cast in a play and practice basic performance skills by participating in theater games, improvisation, scene work, and playwriting exercises. Throughout the session, they rehearse their parts and experiment with the technical aspects of theater, including sets, costumes, props, make-up, lighting and sound. Finally ready for performance, the cast will present their production to family and friends on the Pierce Middle School’s stage.
Spotlight will hold two sessions: July 18-22 and July 25-29. The camp is open to students across Massachusetts ages 10-14. For more information and registration forms, please visit http://spotlightcamp.weebly.com.
