The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 3, to discuss a proposal to increase public access to the Neponset River at Neponset Park in Dorchester. DCR will present information about a recently awarded DCR Partnerships Matching Funds Program grant to the Friends of Milton Crew to enhance public access to the river by improving the infrastructure at Neponset Park. DCR is contributing $36,000 and the Friends of Milton Crew are contributing $18,000 toward the project. Neponset Park is along the Neponset River in Dorchester, just east of Granite Avenue.
