The 1st Annual Victorian Egg Hunt will take place on the grounds of the Forbes House Museum on Saturday, 30 April 2011 from 1-3pm. Children ages 3- 8 are welcome to this special event, where hundreds of eggs will be hidden on the east and west lawns of the Museum. Each child will receive a handle basket in which she/he can gather eggs, each containing a toy surprise. A story hour will take place on the Forbes House porch beginning at 2pm; snacks and refreshments will be served.
Forbes House is grateful to the Meeting House Bank of Lower Mills for its generous sponsorship of the event. Prizes will be given to the best egg hunters, courtesy of Carolyn Kegler Floral Designs of Lower Mills and Proforma Printing and Promotion of Milton/Boston.
“The egg hunt is part of an effort by Forbes House to offer more programs and activities for local families,” say Robin Tagliaferri, the Museum’s Executive Director. “We hope to see some of our old friends and some new faces as well.”
Admission is $5 per child, which includes a handle basket. Rain date is Sunday, 1 May from 1-3pm.
The FHM will suspend its regular tour schedule during the egg hunt and in observance of the Easter holiday. Tours will be suspended on 20, 23, 24 and 30 April 2011. Regular tours will resume on Wednesday, 4 May 2011.
