Save the Date for the first-ever “Salute the Arts” event to be held at Fuller Village on Saturday, May 21st from 1 pm to 4 pm.
The event is a fundraiser to support the Milton Public Schools arts programs. It will feature a display of incredible artwork — not only from student artists, but also from Fuller Village residents. Some of the artwork will be for sale, with proceeds going towards art education.
In addition, this intergenerational event will feature Fuller Village musicians and performers, as well as the Milton High School jazz combo.
There will be activities for younger children, including hands-on crafts projects and a puppet show. A giant raffle is being planned and light refreshments will be served.
This fundraiser is sponsored by the Fuller Village Residents Association, in partnership with the Milton Public Schools.
Myrtle Flight, Fuller resident, Milton High alumni and Co-Chair of this event said she “welcomes the opportunity to give back to the town of Milton. A number of our Fuller Village residents graduated from Milton High and have spent their lives here. It’s exciting to be able to partner with and support the public schools.”
“We are looking forward to working with our friends from Fuller Village,” said Mary Gormley, Superintendent of the Milton Public Schools. “We have had a wonderful partnership with their residents and their administrators — including the Fuller Mentor program in our elementary schools — for which we are very grateful.”
“We know that this event will be an incredible opportunity for people to see the work of our talented students and also enjoy the work of some of Milton’s senior citizens.”
