Milton Hospital, a clinical affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center providing community-based health care, is proud to announce that Stephen A. Pap, MD has joined the surgery department at Milton Hospital.
Dr. Pap received his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Mass. where he also completed his internship and residency in general surgery. He completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Massachusetts and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass.
Dr. Pap was attracted to Milton Hospital because it offers great resources for the community– all with a personal care touch: a six-room state-of-the-art operating suite that includes access to cutting edge surgical technologies. Private rooms expedite “day-of-procedure” interviews and new peri-operative bays are configured for the privacy and comfort of visitors and family. “Patients do not need to travel into Boston for excellent care!” Dr. Pap said.
Dr. Pap is also the proud founder and president of Hands Across the World (www.handsacrossworld.com), a non-profit organization that provides specialized surgery for congenital defects and other ailments in underserved areas of the world. Medical missions are hosted in Ecuador, where within one week as many as 90 patients receive surgical care. To date over 1,000 surgeries have been completed.
Dr. Pap resides in South Natick, Mass. with his wife and two toddlers.
