Today there was a 2:00 o’clock deadline for proposals on development of the Governor Stoughton land also referred to as the town farm. The companies and organizations that submitted proposals were:
- Mark Donahue, Weston Associates
- The Copeland Family Foundation
- Pulte Homes of New England
- Community Builders Inc.
- Frank Mulligan as manager of the Governor Stoughton Land Preservation
They submitted two envelope bids; one contained the proposal and the other the financial amount for purchase.
The Board of selectmen were on hand to take receipt of the proposals. They will be reviewing them with teh goal of a final decision by 4/21. The board are the trustees of the land that was left by Governor Stoughton for the benefit of the poor.
