Today’s Boston Globe reports taht Milton is one of a handful of south shore towns considering offering public employees early retirement. However, according to comments made by the selectmen the plan is not that appealing and may not appeal to many employees. The goal in offering a plan is to provided some “belt tightening;”  but the article also notes that towns are not required to offer the plan. (Read the full story here.)
