Wildcat teams bounced from MIAA tournament

It wasn’t the best of nights for the Wildcat soccer and volleyball teams.

The boys soccer team fell 4-1 to a tough second seed Canton team. And then there was the weather. But they battled on through the cold, the wind, and the rain. Though it was a disappointing outcome. It was a good season for the boys Wildcat soccer team.

The lone Miltn goal came at the end from senior Braedy Taugher. Coach Madden said,“I had all my seniors on the field at the end; I thought they did a nice job,” Madden said. “It was nice to see them score.” Classic Madden. You can find a Patriot Ledger article on the game here.

The girls volleyball team also lost. Westboro shut them out 3-0. Again, not the desired result; but they played hard. Metrowest daily News reports, “Senior outside hitter Ali Reed notched 14 kills and three aces as fifth-seeded Westborough crushed visiting No. 13 Milton, 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-9) in a Division 2 Central girls volleyball quarterfinal last night.” You can find their run down of volleybal tournament play here.

Congratulations to both teams.
