While we are on a green theme. There was a recent article in the Daily News Transctipt about Dedham’s efforts to become a green community. Find it here. Milton is also on track to become eligible per articles past at the recent Special Town Meeting.

One reason to seek eligibility as a Green Community is to qualify of grants. The Patrick Administration recently announcd awards for several communites. You can find the State House press release here.

A more immediate municipal development that should warm the hearts of Milton residents particularly those who live on or off of Adams Street is that it has been paved from Milton Village and up over the hill to the intersectin with Centre Street. The street was open this Sunday morning and I was pleasantly surprised to head into East Milton with nary a rattle or undo stress on my shock absorbers. A  nuisance? Yes. Necessary? Yes. (Those pipes were  over 100 years old). Almost over with? Yes.
