Fuller Village invites the community to a book launching for the fifth edition of Medical Law and Ethics for Medical Office Professionals on Thursday evening, October 7, 2010, at 7:00pm in the Function Hall at the 1372 Brush Hill Rd. Dessert and coffee will be served. The current edition was completed in the spring of 2010 and entered the textbook market this fall.
The author, Myrtle Flight, is a resident of Fuller Village in Milton. She graduated from Milton High School in 1952, lived in Canton while bringing up her children, Curtis and Linda Flight, and moved back to Fuller Village to retire.
She is an attorney who specialized in family and juvenile law. She ventured into the medical law field during her midlife years after having worked as a secretary at Children’s Hospital, Boston, taught at Aquinas Junior College in Milton, the Blue Hill Regional Vocational School in Canton, Northeastern University and Massasoit Community College. A graduate of Colby Sawyer College, Northeastern University and New England School of Law, she was active in Canton at First Parish Church, Unitarian Universalist, President of the American Association of University Women.
Through those years in Milton, she served in many capacities; Milton Hospital Board of Directors, Chairperson of the Ethics Committee, Member of the Ethics Committee at Norwood Hospital, President of Massachusetts Association of Medical Assistants and currently a Hospital Coordinator.
