Please come by on July 22nd to join the members of the Milton Historical Society in acknowledging Anthony Sammarco and Joe Cedrone, resident caretakers of The Suffolk Resolves House, for all they have down to enrich the town of Milton and its residents. Anthony and Joe have been resident caretakers at the Suffolk Resolves House for many years but they will be moving in August.
The Milton Historical Society will be hosting a reception for Anthony and Joe on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 7 PM at the Keys Conference Room in the Milton Public Library.
Anthony is currently the curator of the Milton Historical Society, a position he has long held and in which he plans to continue. Anthony also serves the community as a Town Meeting member and Cemetery Trustee. Formerly, Anthony served as trustee for the Milton Public Library and the Forbes House Museum. For a number of years he wrote a popular newspaper column called “A Piece of Milton History” and he has authored several popular books on the history of Milton. When Joe retired a few years ago he turned his efforts into landscaping the grounds of the Suffolk Resolves House turning them into a beautiful garden.
