Sunset Hike to the Top of Big Blue

What could be more spectacular than fall foliage? Sunset from atop Great Blue! Enjoy the season’s finest colors this fall from the region’s highest hill.

On Sunday, October 20 from 4:00 – 7:00, Blue Hill Ski, the Friends of the Blue Hills, and Blue Hills Observatory will be sponsoring a free hike to the top of Great Blue.

Researchers find link between aircraft noise and heart disease

Exposure to high levels of aircraft noise is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, find two studies published on bmj.com today.

An accompanying editorial says the results have implications for planners when extending airports in heavily populated areas or planning new airports. (Read the full story here.)

Family Fairy Festival at the Wakefield Estate

There will be a FAMILY FAIRY FESTIVAL at the Wakefield Estate (1465 Brush Hill Rd, Milton) on Saturday October 19th 1PM-4PM brought to you by Artspace Milton and the the Mary MB Wakefield Charitable Trust

The woods are full of fairies! Come join us and build a home for a fairy or elf on the grounds of our beautiful estate. Participate in Nature Art activities.

Yesterday was a good day. Folks flocked to Brooks field to remember, celebrate, and contribute to a scholarship in the name of Evan Jones. The sky was grey but the day was bright.

Pictured here are some hearty (and healthy) souls who competed in the first Milton Boot Camp Triathlon. The triathlon consisted of twenty-minute stairs challenge in Milton Village followed by a 5k run and, lastly, fifteen minutes of intense jump rope in the Fontbonne gym. Nice job!
