Don’t forget – South Pacific on stage at Milton High!
The Oscar & Hammerstein musical sensation South Pacific will be performed at Milton High School. This ever popular musical won 10 Tony Awards and features songs such as “Bali Ha’i”, “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair”, “Some Enchanted Evening”, “There Is Nothing Like a Dame.”
Fontbonne Students Run the Tufts 10K Race
The Fontbonne Academy Cross Country Team ran in the Tufts 10K race on Monday, October 14, under the guidance of their coach, Abby Young. The team has included this race into their fall competition schedule for the past two years; the field is all women and the annual race raises funds for healthcare organizations.
Who needs a Buddy?
Buddy is a 4 year old neutered male domestic medium hair. He is extremely friendly to people, and will call his greetings from the window to visitors outside. Buddy doesn’t like other cats and doesn’t “show well” on a quick visit to our crowded cat room. Please come visit the Milton Animal League, sit with Buddy for a while. They’ll convince you to take him home! You can call the Animal League at (617) 698-0413.
Heads up! Entrance and exit at MPL have been switched
A change pending at the Milton Public Library has taken place ahead of schedule. The entrance and exits of the Milton Public Library have been reversed in an effort to cut down on the number of accidents that have occurred over the last couple years. The signs directing traffic are clear. Please use caution. Note that there is also parking available on Canton Avenue extending west from the library.
A first for Milton – MHS crews compete in the Head of the Charles

Yesterday was an amazing day and a first for Milton. Three crews from Milton High School competed in the Head of the Charles Regatta, the world’s premier rowing event. They were entered in the Youth Fours Men, the Youth Fours Women, and the Youth Eights Men. (click on image for large view)
Imagination, wonder, and fun at Fairy Festival

The Mary M.B. Wakefield Trust in partnership with Artspace Milton held a Fairy Festival last Saturday and what a day it was! Fun, wonder, and active imaginations were if full force as children of all ages decorated cookies, made crowns and toad abodes, and creating an amazing array of fairy houses on the grounds of the Wakefield Estate.
