It may be time to break out the ear muffs — and the umbrellas.
High winds and cooler temperatures look to make it a cold four-day work week, according to the National Weather Service, which reported today that temperatures will drop each day, culminating in a possibly rainy, 40-degree Friday.
“Temperatures are going to be averaging around 10 degrees below normal for this time of year,” said weather service meteorologist Neal Strauss in Taunton. (Read the full story here.)

ROAD CLOSURES AND ADVISORIES
I-93 South Approaching and through Downtown: Nighttime Multi-lane Closures
Two-to-three lanes of I-93 South will be closed at night approaching and through Downtown Sunday and Monday, October 4 and 5, 2009 and Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, 2009 from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. These lane closures are for inspections and maintenance work.
Get your vehicle marked with an identification number to make it unwanted by thieves.

Streaks, good and bad, remained intact Friday night in the football match-up between Weymouth High and Milton High Schools.
