Meetings: Planning Board

The Planning Board will be meeting in the Blute conference room at Town Hall on June 12th @ 6:30 to discuss the letter regarding the proposed Milton Mews 40B development.

The Planning Board will be meeting in the John Cronin conference room at Town Hall on June 13th @ 6:30. The agenda includes but is not limited to resuming the hearing on Coulter landscaping, a review of draft comments on Master Plan, and discussion of development at 591 Blue Hill Ave. The complete agendas of all upcoming town meetings can be found here.

Patrick administration commits to finishing Neponset Greenway, announces $1.9 million for design

The Patrick administration said on Tuesday they will provide $1.9 million in capital funds for designing the completion of the Neponset River Greenway Corridor. The administration also said the state Department of Transportation is committed to funding the completion of the project, which is expected to cost between $11 million and $15 million. Milton police log: June 3 to 10

The following information was taken from the Milton police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, June 3

Accident: At 8:03 a.m., police responded to an accident on Canton Avenue involving three vehicles. One car allegedly traveling faster than the speed limit on Canton Avenue struck a car coming out from a stop sign on a side street, pushing that car into a third car. The operator of the car that was struck by the speeding car was taken to Carney Hospital in Dorchester. The operator of the speeding car was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. Milton police say suspect robbed Citizens Bank on Granite Avenue

Milton police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that took place at 2 p.m. Monday.

The suspect, described as a man about 5 foot 8 or 5 foot 9 wearing a gray or black Boston Red Sox hat in his mid-20s, robbed Citizens Bank at 420 Granite Ave., said Milton police Lieutenant Kevin Foley. (Read the full story here.)

Ashe and his service dog walked the nature trail, Dave Lynn ran his fingers along a guide rope until they touched a round bead. He stopped, read the Braille number, and then pressed the button on his Victor Reader Stream to listen to a description of the red tail hawk perched on a branch in the cage in front of him. “I Will Run Again,” tribute to runners of 2013 Marathon

There were a number of highlights to last night’s Music Fest and Fireworks show but perhaps none was quite as poignant as Ms. Reddy and the Pierce Treble Chorus’s performance of “I Will Run Again,” a special poem and song performed for the first time. Dale Snyder released on $10K bail, atty enters plea of not guilty

Thomas Lawton, attorney for Dale Snyder, entered a plea of not guilty today in Quincy District Court. Mr. Snyder, a chemistry teacher and girls track coach at Milton High School, has been charged with one count of indecent assault and two counts of assault and battery. Mr Snyder appeared in court in a red polo shirt, dark slacks, and handcuffs.
