Tonight, we have a very positive success story about a break-in that happened on Highland St, around 1 pm. today. The case involves (2) very alert DPW employees and the collective effort of a dozen Milton officers, including officers who responded immediately from their details, detectives, K9 Hunter and others.

On August 15th the Zoning Board of Appeals heard from attorneys regarding the appeal of a decision by the Building Inspector. John Rowe and Phillip Johenning, whose property abuts Thayer Nursery, claim that Thayer’s businesses are having an adverse impact on their property. Joe Prondak, the Building Inspector, acknowledged there could be violations but held off because there is a pending appeal before the land court. That appeal is 10 years old.
The Milton Early Childhood Alliance is offering two terrific activities for parents and children to do in the next couple of weeks to prepare for Kindergarten this fall!

Found money
A woman came into the Milton police station on Monday and turned in $1,500 in cash she found in a gutter outside Fitness Unlimited on Granite Avenue.
Police placed it into evidence until it can be claimed, but did not release any details on the envelope containing the money. (Read the full story here.)
