Hey Trivia and art buffs, come join in the Milton Reads! Gardner Heist Trivia Night at Abby Park on Sunday 9/15 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 P.M. Admission is free, with complimentary hors d’oevres, prizes, and a cash bar. Sign up a team of 4-6 or sign up alone and we’ll place you on a team — regardless, bring it on!

Senator Joyce to hold Milton office hours

Senator Brian A. Joyce will be holding office hours at the Milton Senior Center on Wednesday September 4th, from 9:00 – 10:00. If anyone has an issue they would like to discuss with the Senator, please feel free to stop by. No appointment necessary.

Suffolk Resolves Annual Open House

The Suffolk Resolves House, located at 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton, will be open from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 8, 2013.

The Annual Open House is held in recognition of the historic meeting on September 9, 1774 at the home of Daniel and Rachel Smith Vose in Milton Village. Seventy delegates, representing 19 Suffolk County towns, adopted 19 resolutions known as the Suffolk Resolves.

Reminder: Thomas Crown Affair starring Steve McQueen tonight @ MPL

A free movie, The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway will play at the Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton in the Keys Community Room (lower level) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19.  (Note: This movie replaces Trance, which was previously scheduled)

Music Fun with Wayne Potash @ Gazebo

The Parks and Recreation program of summer concerts feature the Music Fun with Wayne Potash at the Gazebo in front of Town Hall 8/20.

Swing Concert on Town Hall Green Sponsored by The Friends of the Library

After a rain cancellation in June, Four Guys in Tuxes will play swing, society, and classic rock on August 27 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The concert will be held the Town Hall green, across the street from the Milton Public Library. Sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Library, the popular band is returning for its 17th performance in the summer concert series.  Admission is free.

Rep. Walter Timilty Hosts Office Hours at Town Hall

Representative Walter Timilty (D – Milton) invites Milton residents to meet with him during his local office hours on Thursday, August 22nd. They will be held in the Bluth Conference Room of the Milton Town Hall from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. No appointments are required.
