Join Dr. Donald Gerry Kennedy, descendent of the family that built the Kennedy home, now known as the Gordon House at Fuller Village, for a fascinating look at historic photos of the property along with lively stories of the Kennedy family. Dr. George Golding Kennedy, Don’s great grandfather, purchased the Shaw Estate in 1879 and built the “Gordon” house which Fuller Village preserved when the property was renovated.

Annual Spring Open House at the Observatory
Join us for our Spring Open House to take a tour of our facility, enjoy the view from the summit of Great Blue Hill and participate in many fun activities. Activities include presentations on weather and climate, kite making and flying, tagged balloon releases, self guided tours with interpreters throughout the facility, and tables for the WINS program, MWO, NWS, and Friends of the Blue Hills.

Wakefield Charitable Trust is presenting a three-part lectures series on the history of the land and occupants of what is today known as the Wakefield Estate, named after its most recent occupant, Mary (“Polly”) Wakefield. The lectures will highlight the origin and evolution of one of Milton’s founding families as a microcosm of the history of Milton over the past 350 years.

First ever Milton Kids Road Race!
A field of 100 young runners are expected to take part in Girl Scout Troop 74134’s first Milton Kids Road Race on Sunday, May 20 in Cunningham Park, 75 Edge Hill Rd, Milton.
“Kids ages 4-14 years old are all welcome to participate. The race is to promote health and well-being for all kids. We are raising money to help refurbish the scout house and go on our annual camping trip,” said Nora Kleiman, Katie Biagiotti and Mayu Joiner, members of the organizing troop.
Charitable Irish & Eire Societies to partner with Forbes House to commemorate Irish Famine

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton, formerly Milton Hospital, is thrilled to announced its annual Spring Fundraising Gala, taking place on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Lombardo’s in Randolph, Mass. This year’s gala will support the implementation of digital mammography services at BID-Milton.
