Blue Hills Toy Drive and Hike & Bike Ride
Sunday, December 2, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Join the DCR Park Rangers and volunteers from Blue Hills TrailWatch and NEMBA for our annual holiday toy drive collection. Bring a new unwrapped toy, then go on a guided or self-guided ride or hike.

Rabbi Benjamin to Discuss Earliest Christians
Rabbi Alfred Benjamin of Temple Shalom of Milton will lead a discussion on the topic “Who were the Earliest Christians and Why?” at a pre-Hanukah Pot Luck Dinner and Shabbat Service on Friday evening, December 7, 2012. The event is hosted by Paul and Sue Etkind at the Great Hall of the First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue.

Milton Library Teen Advisory Group Throws “Come in Character” Party
Dust off your best literary-themed costume and wear it to the Milton Public Library on Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. for a “Come in Character” party for local teens and tweens. This celebration of our favorite stories and the characters we love will feature a book-themed trivia game, a costume contest with prizes, and craft and activities inspired by favorite books, including The Hunger Games,
Friday Teen Movie at the MPL
On Dec. 7 at 3 p.m., the Teen Services Department of the Milton Library will show a movie for students in grades 6-12. Teens will have a choice of four movies.
Chanukah Celebration at Temple Shalom
Temple Shalom of Milton will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Chanukah with a Community-wide Family Celebration and Fundraiser on Sunday, December 9, from 10:30 AM – 12:15 PM at Pierce Middle School, 451 Central Avenue, Milton. This family Chanukah event will be under the direction of Education Director Nancy Mollitor and Rabbi Alfred Benjamin.
Handcrafting Justice Sale at First Parish
On Saturday, December 1st, First Parish in Milton will host its annual Handcrafting Justice sale, as well as a Christmas tree sale and a free community brunch. The sale will be in the Parish Hall from 9am to 1pm.
