How much fun is it to run around in a Halloween costume? LOTS! and you can at the upcoming Milton Foundation for Education’s 16th Annual MONSTER DASH 5k Road Race and Kids Fun Run taking place on Sunday, October 26 at Cunningham Park.
All proceeds from the event to support science enrichment in Milton’s four elementary schools through the Sam Cichello Memorial Fund.
State Senator Brian A. Joyce is inviting Milton residents to come to a forum on the four ballot initiative questions appearing on the November ballot on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at Unquity House, 30 Curtis Road in Milton.

Milton bore a significant brunt of last week’s storm. Milton received over 5″ of rain, experienced gusts of wind up to 59m.p.h. and sustained winds of 36m.p.h. You can find a chart of weather conditions. Following is a chart courtesy of the Boston Globe.
Yesterday there was a post on the upcoming production of Legally Blonde at Milton High School. MATV has produced a glimpse of the show and a brief profile of some of the performers. Their excitement and enthusiasm for the show come through and the joy they take in working together hint at what promises to be a great performance. There will be performances 11/6 @ 7pm and11/8 @ 2pm & 7pm. Pre-sale tickers are available at th MHS main office and Pierce Main office between 9 and noon on weekdays. Go have some fun!
Preservation Massachusetts has listed the Swift Hat Shop here in Milton as one of the Commonwealth’s most endangered historic resources.

Dr. John Ryan to speak at Fuller Village in Milton on Monday, November 3. Dr. Ryan, a Biological Oceanographer and Senior Research Specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, is the son of former Canton residents Michael and Shirley Ryan who now reside at Fuller Village in Milton.
