Well, get ready. Because this can get a little tricky.

According to sources around the districts, the field is set for the sectional playoffs, with 12 teams ready to fight amongst three brackets with three berths in the state tournament at stake. (Read the full story here.)

If you’d visited Mark Anderson’s house in Milton last week, you would have seen something strange in his front yard. Behind a picket fence rimmed with American flags were two plastic kiddie pools. McGettrick, 43, of Weymouth after the two men allegedly stole a pair of Tommy Bahama swim shorts from the Lord and Taylor store at the South Shore Plaza and resisted efforts by loss prevention officers to take them into custody, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said. We were swanning around one of our favorite places in Milton late this afternoon, The Milton Farmer’s Market, which is just the bee’s knees. If you haven’t been you owe it to yourself to go. You like food right? Then you’ll love this place! It takes place every Thursday from 1:00 – 6:00.

While we were down there, we took a minute to wander over to 88 Wharf Street where a restaurant is going in on the ground floor, The 88 Wharf Street Riverfront Grill, and spoke briefly with the folks there. They told us, “We’re getting there.” And they are.

If all goes well they are hopeful of opening some day next week.

Police captured a man accused of robbing a bank today in Milton after the suspect attempted a not-so-subtle escape.

The man sped away from the Citizens Bank branch on a bright red Vespa wearing a matching bright red helmet. The culprit’s red motif helped police track him as he drove the wrong way on Granite Avenue and took the Southeast Expressway into Dorchester. (Read the full story here.)
