Braintree police arrested Christopher J. Nilan, 51, of Milton and James P. McGettrick, 43, of Weymouth after the two men allegedly stole a pair of Tommy Bahama swim shorts from the Lord and Taylor store at the South Shore Plaza and resisted efforts by loss prevention officers to take them into custody, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said.
