MA Health Council Releases New Report on the Opioid Epidemic

The Massachusetts Health Council (MHC) today announced the release of a new report on how community coalitions are leading the way with effective approaches to addressing the opioid crisis that continues to race through the Commonwealth. 

Milton Literary Gala at Lombardo’s to feature Alice Hoffman

On Thursday, October 22, 2015, the 11th annual Literary Gala, “Where Stories Begin,” will be held at Lombardo’s, 6 Billings Road, Randolph, MA, benefiting the Milton Public Library. The gala is hosted by the Milton Library Foundation and chaired by President-Elect Stacey Cornforth. The keynote speaker will be noted author Alice Hoffman. Information on sponsorship and ticket sales will be announced soon.

“Les Miserables” Sells Out Local Theatre: we know why!

Currently playing at Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park is a spectacular production of “Les Miserables” the sung-through musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel by the same name. The musical “Les Miserables” is one of the longest-running and most beloved theatrical events, and the current production upholds that popularity.  Strong in all areas—acting, vocal performance, costumes, staging, and musicianship—a full house responded with much-deserved standing ovations on opening night, Friday, May 8th.

MHS Rugby team playoff bound

update 05.13.15 @ 1:25pm – The Milton High School Rugby team is on a tear this season. They were sceduled to finish up their last regular season game tonight at Brooks Field against Scituate but that game has been postponed (see comment below). The playoffs start next week against a team to be determined. Game time is 7:00PM at Brooks Field. Go Wildcats!
