Horticultural Triage: Assessing and Repairing Your Winter-damaged Landscape

As this year’s record-breaking snow load recedes, it is revealing the extensive damage to our landscapes. We all know that this winter and all that snow has been brutal on plants, trees and shrubs, with many broken branches and limbs. Milton Library Offers Free Yoga Classes for Teens

In April, the Milton Library will offer a series of yoga classes after school for tweens and teens (ages 11-18). Classes will be held on April 8 and April 15 at 3pm. Jill Pokaksi, who also teaches yoga for children at the library, will teach the series. Advance registration is required and teens must register for each class individually. Mats will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Come check it out!

The Sky Over Milton – a perfomance project by PearlDamour featuring Milton(s)!

We have been aware of this project for some time but did not know quite what to make of it. And still don’t. But it is interesting. The project, The Sky Over Milton, is a performance piece by pearldamour (Katie Pearl and Lisa D’Amour) that compiles information and stories from all the cities/towns in America named Milton. There are five. In addition to . . . here . . .there are Miltons in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Oregon.

Book chats with Milton Public Library director Will Adamczyk have become on the library’s most popular programs.  On Tues. March 24, 7:00-8:30 PM, Adamczyk lead a conversation about this seasons Milton Reads selection The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

We are sorry to say that Facebook posts late yesterday reported Steve Wilkie, a lifelong hockey advocate and supporter of those who played the game, has passed away. He was a beloved champion to many here in town. Our condolences go out to his family and many friends.

Tall ceilings and an elegant decor offer a casual vibe, something like a chic ski cabin you want to spend time in. Presentation on anxiety in children and teens

Parents and educators are invited to join the Milton SEPAC March 24th from 7-9pm at Pierce Middle school for a discussion of how to identify and manage anxiety in children of all ages and abilities. Guest speaker Dr. Angela Currie will address what teachers and parents can do to help prevent or alleviate stress for all students.

Reminder: Annual Milton Speaks Candidates Night tonight

The Annual Milton Speaks Candidates Night will be held Monday, March 23rd at 7pm at Milton Access TV Studios (located at Pierce Middle School). Candidates running for a contested seat will participate in a Candidates Forum. Candidates running for a uncontested seat will have the chance to make a 2 minute statement at the end of the forum.
