Letter: Library Trustees address failing trees

Letter from Kristine Hodlin, Chair, Library Board of Trustees

To Whom it May Concern,

At our meeting on Monday, August 11, 2014 the Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously to have two trees in failing condition removed from the Library grounds.

The trees in question are a copper beech that sits front and center of the parking lot and a sugar maple that is in the front yard to the right of the front door as you face it.

Source confirms ‘Top Chef’ harassment

from The Boston Globe

Bravo would not comment Wednesday on a Deadline.com report that members of the local Teamsters Union used racist, sexist, and homophobic language to harass and intimidate “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi and staff while the popular food show was in town shooting its new season. A source close to the network did tell us that details of the Deadline account are true, but said the incident outside Steel & Rye restaurant in Milton was isolated. (Read the full story here. Fuller gardeners share their bounty

There are approximately 25 enthusiastic gardeners at Fuller Village. The most popular items planted are full size tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, kale and several types of herbs such as parsley, basil, mint, and chives. Some gardeners choose to grow lovely flowers also. They share the bounty of their produce with their neighbors, family and the food pantry. They take a turn, happy to deliver, the collected donations to the Milton Food Pantry every Saturday morning during the summer.
